What these numbers mean
Historical collection checks Europe PMC and ClinicalTrials.gov; live search also checks PubMed when available. The collector moves backward by year and checks at most five pages per year for a tracked spelling. New names join after a successful live search. A completed source response does not prove that every relevant study was found or that an older saved card is still current.
